Born Angel Ramiro Sanchez in 1974 in Maracaibo, Venezuela, at age six Ramiro was accepted with full scholarship into the Ninos Cantores School for musically gifted children. At age fourteen he began five years of apprenticeship with the realist painter, Abdon Jose Romero, an eminent specialist in murals for churches and public buildings.  In 1993, a study grant from Mgr Gustavo Ocando Yamarte, Founder of the Ninos Cantores, enabled him to travel to Florence, Italy, where he successfully passed the admission examination for the renowned Accademia di Belle Arti.  During the four years, he studied full time at the Accademia, receiving his diploma magna cum laude, Ramiro also attended drawing and painting sessions at the Florence Academy of Art, directed by painter Daniel Graves. Ramiro was appointed Senior Painting Instructor at the FAA in 1997. Ramiro's portraits and still lifes are in private collections in the United States and Europe.  He lives and works in Florence.

Angel Ramiro Sanchez nasce nel 1974 a Maracaibo, Venezuela, già all’età di sei Ramiro è ammesso alla prestigiosa scuola di musica dei Ninos Cantores, dedicata a bambini con grande talento musicale. A quattordici anni comincia il suo apprendistato di cinque anni al seguito del pittore realista Abdon Jose Romero, conosciuto soprattutto per i suoi affreschi in chiese e in edifici di importanza pubblica.  Nel 1993, garzie ad una borsa di studio elargita da Mons. Gustavo Ocando Yamarte, fondatore dei Ninos Cantores, Ramiro giunge a Firenze, dove comincerà a studiare presso l’ Accademia di Belle Arti.  Dopo quattro anni di studio all’Accademia, consegue il diploma col massimo dei voti, nel frattempo Ramiro segue anche corsi di disegno e pittura presso la Florence Academy of Art, diretta dal pittore Daniel Graves, fino a divertarne l’insegnante responsabile per la sezione di pittura nel 1997. I suoi ritratti e paesaggi si trovano in numerose collezioni in Stati Uniti e in Europa.  Attualmente Ramiro vive e lavora a Firenze.
